Here we show how to repair a crack in a plasterboard/gyprock ceiling by installing an expansion joint. If a crack in the ceiling is simply filled it often re-appears because the original movement problems in the ceiling haven’t been addressed.
By installing an expansion joint it allows for some movement or expansion and contraction without further cracking.
The expansion joint in the video was around 1500mm long and cost $300.
