Custom Kitchen Bulkheads
Your kitchen is one of the most important and most expensive rooms in your house.
By incorporating a custom made plaster bulkhead with your cabinetry you can raise the level of visual appeal and functionality of your kitchen.
Below are some examples of the different bulkhead options available for different styles of kitchen. Wether your kitchen is modern or traditional there is a plaster bulkhead to suit.

In the first picture below the kitchen ceiling and bulkhead has 2 elements. Firstly the tan coloured bulkhead provides a nice finish detail above the wall cabinets while the larger suspended ceiling defines the kitchen space and provides a modern looking design feature.

The following kitchen is taken to another level of sophistication through the use of a contrasting coloured bulkhead. Visually it looks fantastic and it has the functional element of providing lighting to the work areas
–
–
By creating 2 matching bulkheads it adds an interesting ceiling feature, lighting for the 2 countertops and lifts the level of the whole space. Imagine how much different it would look with an ordinary flat ceiling with a gap above the wall cabinets and regular lighting

–
In its simplest form a plaster bulkhead provides a neat way to finish above kitchen wall cabinets and allows the cornice follow the line of the cabinetry

Garage ceiling repair – Ourimbah
Repair replace garage ceiling plasterer gyprocker plasterboard plaster sagging water damage Ourimbah Centra Coast
BEFORE
AFTER
Here is another garage ceiling that we have replaced at Ourimbah on the NSW Central Coast. Part of the ceiling fell down and the remainder was sagging badly so we removed the existing sheets and replaced with new plasterboard/gyprock and cornice.
We install the new plasterboard/gyprock ceiling with extra glue and screws to make sure there are no future issues.
Moisture problems are very common in garages due to condensation that is caused by changes in temperature overnight and no insulation or sarking in the roof space. When this is combined with inadequate fixing of the original plasterboard, the ceiling will eventually collapse.
How long does it take?
This job took one day to replace the ceiling and 2 hours the following day to sand the joints ready for painting.
How much does it cost?
$1700 including disposal of old plasterboard
